For you

“For You” depicts a personal narrative of emotional remoteness, instigated by a mother's custom to express affection through service-oriented gestures, like slicing fruits, rather than verbal apologies when disagreements occur. Albeit thoughtful, this act generated a tacit chasm, which led this person to grapple with forming authentic emotional bonds, due to unfamiliarity with it. The artwork displays a mother brandishing a fruit-filled platter, with star patterns creating a hand held in a crossed-finger pose and a plummeting satellite in the backdrop, serving as metaphors for the insincerity embedded in service as a surrogate for genuine apologies and the consequential internal chaos experienced by the individual.
